JBA Bentley celebrates environmental milestone

JBA Bentley is celebrating working 12 months with ZERO environmental harm on its projects.

The milestone reflects the commitment and hard work of colleagues across the business who every day strive to not only protect the environment from harm but enhance it too. The whole team is engaged in the identification and mitigation of risks through robust planning and regular communication.

Solutions are environmentally conscious and are underpinned by an expert team of ecologists and environmental advisors who provide clear standards and guidance.

The positive environmental culture is reflected in the high frequency of 'green' interventions recorded over the past 12 months, discussions between colleagues that prevent harm and ensure that environmental matters remain high up the agenda.

Ian Bester, Operations Director at JBA Bentley, said, "I am proud of the JBA Bentley team for achieving ZERO environmental harm on our projects for more than a year.

"The achievement isn’t down to luck, it is down to great teamwork and a culture that places environmental stewardship at the heart of what we do, alongside safety and great engineering.

"It is important that we now keep each day free of environmental harm and demonstrate to our clients why we should remain their D&B contractor of choice."

Hitting the milestone reinforces JBA Bentley’s credentials as a leader in the environmental engineering design-and-build field and comes just weeks after working over one million hours without a reportable injury – another significant landmark for the organisation.
