Who we are

JBA Bentley is an integrated design and build contractor that specialises in the safe and efficient delivery of low carbon solutions.  Our mission is simple – to use our ingenuity and expertise to develop and deliver sustainable low carbon solutions that make a positive difference to our clients and our communities.

Back in 2013, JBA Consulting – one of Europe’s leading specialists in environmental engineering and management, joined forces with national civil engineering contractor JN Bentley, to form JBA Bentley.

Our integrated design and build offering brings together JBA’s vast and highly respected in-house expertise for developing sustainable low carbon solutions, with JN Bentley’s safe, trusted, responsible, and efficient delivery.

Our first client was the Environment Agency (EA) in 2013. We’ve established ourselves as a highly reputable framework supplier to the EA as part of their Water and Environmental Management (WEM), Marine and Coastal (MCF), and Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Central Hub frameworks.

We were successful in securing a place on the Coal Authority’s latest mine water treatment framework in July 2020. Whilst both parent companies have held long standing relationships with the Coal Authority, providing consultancy and civil engineering services respectively, the appointment of JBA Bentley will enable the Coal Authority to realise the benefits of a single service provided by an integrated design and build engineering contractor.

As well as delivering programmes of works, we’ve delivered several individual projects on a design and/or build basis for a range of clients.

We wouldn't be the business we are today without our talented colleagues across the UK, of whom we are very proud. They have helped us to grow organically, by continuing to find better, safer and more sustainable solutions to the different challenges facing our clients.
