JBA Bentley apprentice shortlisted in national awards

JBA Bentley technician, Sam Conlon, has been shortlisted for the regional finals of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2022.

After close scrutiny from an expert judging panel, Sam has made it through the initial shortlisting process and a second more detailed review and will now compete as Yorkshire and the Humber finalist. Should he be successful he will go on to the National Apprenticeship finals later in the year.

Design Manager, Ben Darville, said, "The great news is testament to Sam’s exceptional performance both at work and within the apprenticeship programme and recognises his academic and professional development over the past few years."

The National Apprenticeship Awards recognise the achievements of extraordinary apprentices, the businesses that employ them, and the individuals that champion apprenticeships.

Sam, who is based in Leeds working on a variety of JBA Bentley projects, is in the final year of the Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme and has recently submitted for his End Point Assessment. If successful he will complete the apprenticeship and add the credentials IEng MICE to his recently completed BSc.

The regional finals will take place on Wednesday 5th October at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds.

Congratulations to Sam and those involved in making his apprenticeship such a success.
