ICYMI: JBA Bentley and the Environment Agency

Earlier this year, JBA Bentley launched its latest annual review, taking a look back on the last 12 months in the organisation. Check out an extract below, focusing on its work with the Environment Agency.

A focus on low carbon solutions

2021 marked our ninth year working in partnership with the Environment Agency. Projects are delivered through JBA Bentley, our integrated design and build company specialising in environmental engineering and low carbon solutions.

JBA Bentley brings together the technical expertise of JBA Consulting with JN Bentley’s civil engineering contracting experience.

Our work covers a broad geographical spread and an even wider variety of projects, incorporating flood defences in the form of embankments, walls, pumping stations, reservoir improvements, and asset recovery.

In 2021 we made progress on a number of schemes – some of which are ‘legacy’ projects from the WEM framework. Click the thumbnails below to read more about each scheme.

All in alignment: Managed realignment on the east coast

Protecting a city: Flood defences in the City of York

Flood alleviation: Innovative improvements near Hull

Environmental best practice: New screen in Sheffield
